14 7/32" x 6.5" Sonor Teardrop D422 Super Extra in dark blue glitter finish from 1955.
Unfortunately the snare has some clear fading in the wrap, but for the rest this snare is still very nice considering it's age. The mechanic runs nice and smooth and the original heavy die cast hoops give the snare a lot of body and surprisingly modern sound. The chrome parts have some mild pitting and the top hoop is slightly out of round. Nonetheless a very nice snare for an almost 70 year old instrument!
