20" Istanbul 30th Anniversary Ride 2082gr
Beautiful 20" Istanbul (Agop) 30th Anniversary Ride. With a weight of 2082 grams it's a bit on the heavier side compared to some other 30th anniversary rides, but in my opinion that's actually a good thing! Some Agop's can be great when played alone; dark, trashy, warm. Those are all great qualities for a crash, but because of that, many of those are missing the key quality of a a ride cymbal; having a clear stick definition (doesn't have to bright perse), which is articulate and easy to 'read' and can cut through the rest of the combo/band. This one, with just 150-200 grams more in weight does however, without losing too much of the other qualities we all love in those top of the line Agop's. Because of the hand formed bell, it has such a nice, semi complex, sound profile.
